Despite its little size, Interprogetti Genova has been always dealing with research works with the aim of conceiving products of interest for the reference markets and taking care to characterize the conceived devices with “effectiveness factor” (“EF”) higher than 1 as much a s possible, being EF defined as follows:
effectiveness factor = EF = improvement factor / cost factor
where:
- The improvement factor represents the ratio between the actual performance obtained using the conceived device and the performance obtained without the use of this device
- The cost factor represents the ratio between the actual cost of the ship with the conceived device and the cost of the ship without the same device
